Visit the locals - April 2013

After returning from San Francisco, I continue my coffee journey in the local area. "Yelp" provides great resources to search for coffee shop in Markham, Richmond Hill and Toronto.

This is a very small but cozy cafe in Markham. It serves only 4 to 5 small tables with most of them located upstairs. Owner must be a cat lover as all decorations are "cat" related. It even extends to the name of beverage such as "Cattucino", i.e. Cappuccino. I'm not surprised when I see the latte art is a very cute cat.

We also order a pulled pork sandwich with coffee. Very juicy pork in tasty sauce served on a crunchy bun. We see lots of locals visit this small cafe for coffee, ice cream and sandwich.

I'd like to call it a "2-in-1" coffee shop. It is a coffee shop as well as a used bookstore located right next to the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. The store also sells single origin coffee from Indonesia Sulawesi, Bolivia, Columbia and Guatemala. Barista (who I think is the owner) told me the Cappuccino I ordered use Bolivian coffee bean.

The ladies are very nice and friendly. I see many customers having soup, salad, sandwiches from the menu with variety of choices. I will try their crepes when I return next time.
